‘Bachelor’ alum Madi Prewett details husband’s purity ‘struggle’ after her porn addiction reveal

Madison Prewett revealed that her husband battled his own demons while sharing her previous porn and masturbation addiction.

The “Bachelor” alum spoke about Grant Troutt having premarital sex on Monday’s episode of her “Stay True” podcast.

“Grant … felt like, ‘Well, I already had sex, what’s the big deal? It’s already a part of my story. It’s already a part of my life,’” Prewett, 29, shared.

“So that continued to be something he struggled with,” the former reality star added. “He continued to have sex with people.”

However, Prewett praised her partner for changing his ways once he became more connected to his Christian faith.

“I am so thankful that when Grant had a radical transformation with Jesus, and when he started bringing accountability in his life, he chose to pursue a lifestyle of purity,” she gushed.

Prewett admitted that while Troutt, also 29, “wasn’t perfect,” they “pursued [purity] individually and together” before their October 2022 nuptials.

“At the altar when we gave ourselves to each other and to God, body, soul and spirit, we had such a joy and such a peace,” she recalled.

Elsewhere in the podcast, the former ABC personality opened up about her past addiction to porn and masturbation.

“No matter how much I loved Jesus, I could not shake that sin. I could not break free,” she told listeners. “That was something that enslaved me and marked me for so long.”

Prewett clarified that she hasn’t watched porn or masturbated in nearly 10 years.

The Bachelor Nation alum said she used to feel extreme “shame” about her actions as she desired to “live a life for Jesus” without giving in to her own fantasies and curiosities.

“I questioned my worth and my identity [before quitting],” she remembered. “Every time I gave in to sexual sin, I didn’t know my purpose.”

Prewett’s sex life, or lack thereof, became public knowledge when she competed for Peter Weber’s heart on Season 24 of “The Bachelor” in 2020.

In the show, Prewett revealed to Weber that she was a virgin — something that the pilot struggled with.

Prewett became the season winner after Weber called off his engagement to Hannah Ann Sluss — but their relationship ended shortly after the season aired.

Fortunately, Prewett found love again off-screen with Troutt in 2021 and they tied the knot after less than one year together.

In January, Prewett and Troutt announced the arrival of their daughter, Hosanna Rose.
