The couple first met in 2018 when they competed together on the iconic series
Strictly Come Dancing’s Dianne Buswell has admitted that her boyfriend Joe Sugg ‘didn’t want her’ after his audition for the BBC programme.
The professional dancer and YouTuber met on Strictly back in 2018, when they were paired by the show’s bosses to compete for the glitterball trophy together.
Finishing in second place behind Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton in the final, Joe and Dianne quickly began seeing each other.
The couple often bring fans inside their relationship, with Joe vlogging many of their days for his YouTuber subscribers.
Appearing on Monday’s (May 27) edition of ITV's Loose Women, Joe and Dianne reflected on meeting on the show and falling for one another.
Despite now being one of the nation’s favourite couples, Dianne said to presenter Judi Love that Joe didn’t initially want to be paired with her.
Yeah there was. He tells me all the time he didn't want me,” she said.

Joe elaborated: "I did my audition with Janette [Manrara] and I had watched bits of the show before and I had my audition with Janette and I was like 'OK, I want Janette, I want Janette as my partner now’.
So I remember me and Janette both sort of said 'look, can we dance with each other?' and they were like 'maybe' and it never happened.
"In a way, it's good that it didn't, because otherwise we wouldn't be sat here today.”
Janette starred as one of the show's professional dancers from 2013 to 2020, going on to present It Takes Two, which she currently hosts with Fleur East.
During their Loose Women appearance, Joe said that he was ‘focused’ on learning the art of dance and wasn’t thinking about pursuing a relationship.
"I needed the time to focus on getting to that final, it's quite a while ago now so it's hard to remember but we were proper focussed on the dancing," he recalled.
"It wasn't until afterwards we were like 'I kind of miss being in your company' and being around each other,” he admitted.
Last year saw Dianne win the show, which she joined in 2017, for the first time as viewers crowned her and comic Chris McCausland the victors.
