BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell issues major update on new co-stars as two new pros to join show

Dianne Buswell has revealed to fans what she knows about the two new professional dancers set to join Strictly Come Dancing later this year.

The 2025 run of the BBC One dance contest is edging ever closer and while we don't know the celebrities taking to the dancefloor yet, we do know which dancers will be back in the ballroom this autumn.

For the upcoming series professional dancers Dianne, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez and Luba Mushtuk will take to the floor once more.

They'll also be joined by Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola.

And when the line-up was confirmed in April, it was also revealed that two brand new professional dancers will be making their debut, with them set to be revealed closer to the return of the show.

Sarah James, Executive Producer, BBC Studios said: "The excitement is already building ahead of the new series and in addition to welcoming back our fantastic returning Pros, we are looking forward to welcoming two brand new Professional Dancers to the line up who will help bring another unforgettable series of dazzling dance and loads more besides to viewers later in 2025."

Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, added: "The Strictly Professional Dancers are the beating heart of the programme, showcasing to viewers in every corner of the UK their world class talent by lighting up the famous Strictly ballroom every Saturday and Sunday night. Here’s to another fab-u-lous series!"

More details regarding the upcoming series, including the Celebrity contestants taking part, will be announced in due course as Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in Autumn 2025.

But, Dianne has offered an update. Speaking on her podcast with her 2024 dance partner and fellow winner Chris McCausland, titled Winning Isn't Everything, she told her co-host: “You were in my dream the other day.

"We’ve got two new pros this year on Strictly - don’t know who they are yet - a new boy and a new girl." Comedian Chris then asked: "Who are they getting rid of?"

To which Dianne replied: "Nobody, but we’re adding two more. I dreamt that you were the new male pro. But I was fake happy, and it’s really mean for me to say that, but I wasn’t really happy for you.

"I was like, ‘what the hell? He’s going to think he’s better than me now’. And to make it worse you won the series, so you were a double winner and I was like, ‘this isn’t fair, now everyone’s going to think it wasn’t me who made him win it was actually himself that won it the first time’."
