The Repair Shop's resident metal work expert has revealed he could be swapping the workshop for the dance floor, but one thing could hold him back
The Repair Shop star Dominic Chinea has refused to let his "weak" footwork hold him back from jumping at the opportunity of a stint on Strictly Come Dancing.
The metal work expert has insisted "I wouldn't say no" if Strictly producers approached him about becoming a contestant on the hit BBC series.
However, he also confessed he and his dance partner would have quite a lot of work to do to be in with the chance of lifting the famous Glitterball Trophy.
Dominic told the Sunday People in an interview last year: "The costumes, the sets and the style would be great – but the dancing might be the weak point!"

However, the TV star still seemed keen to give it a go, adding: "I wouldn't say no if they asked me!"
Alongside his aspirations to take to the Strictly Ballroom, Dominic also shared that away from his work on The Repair Shop, he would love to land his own festive TV show based on another passion.
Dominic, who lives in Kent with his wife Maria and their Spanish Water Dog Wendy, told the publication: "I'd love to do a craft-based Christmas show.
"I'd love to do glass-blowing, making glass baubles... Whether it's Advent calendars or tree decorations or snow scenes on windows... it's a creative time of year!

"What better time to make someone a present instead of just buying it?!"
Dominic began to explore his hidden talent for metal work during a Saturday job in a classic VW garage, after studying graphic design at university, but rejecting the idea of working in an office.
He can often be found spending time in his own workshop at home during time off from filming The Repair Shop, and documents his latest projects on his YouTube channel.
Dominic recently gave fans an insight into his hard work restoring a 1957 Porsche 356, which he describes as his "dream car".
Just three months ago, the star shared how he'd been getting on, admitting that transforming the classic car came with many challenges, including endless battles with rust.
