The Chicago Bears have signed another offensive weapon for rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
The Bears selected Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and have been making moves to ensure success in his first season.
The team traded for superstar wide receiver Keenan Allen before drafting one of the top wide receivers in the current class in Rome Odunze. They have also brought in a top running back in DeAndre Swift.
Williams, set to head into his first training camp with his new team, is likely to receive even more help as league insider Jordan Schultz has reported that the Bears are signing veteran receiver DeAndre Carter.
The Chicago Bears Bring Back A Familiar Face
Carter, 31, has made multiple stops around the NFL since going undrafted in 2015 and has been in Chicago before. His most recent stint was with the Las Vegas Raiders last season.

The former Sacramento State star has mostly been used as a return specialist and returned a kickoff for a touchdown for the Washington Commanders in 2021.
Given the new kickoff rules to be implemented in 2024, return specialists have seen their value increase.
Carter, who played four games with the Chicago Bears during the 2020 season, will hope he can slot in at WR, too, as he has walked into a situation where he could catch passes from one of the most hyped rookie quarterbacks in recent times.
He also comes in as a speedy option who could possibly add another dimension to Chicago’s passing attack.
