Bengаlѕ reportedly аіmіng bіg to аppeаѕe Joe Burrow'ѕ demаndѕ

Business is picking up around the Cincinnati Bengals, especially when it comes to wide receiver Tee Higgins.

With the franchise tag window opening this week, one report has already revealed that the Bengals will hit Higgins with a second tag if the two sides can’t reach a long-term agreement.

Now, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler has followed up with a bit of a bombshell report:

The team will attempt to secure a trio of stars who need new deals — wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins and defensive end Trey Hendrickson — for the long term, sources told ESPN.

Granted, there’s a big difference between hoping to do something and making it happen, no matter what.

But the fact reports are already out there about the Bengals appeasing Joe Burrow’s very public demands registers as a good sign.

Maybe it doesn’t all work out. Ja’Marr Chase’s contract is going to be historic and an extension for Higgins (and a happy relationship) isn’t necessarily a guarantee simply because of a second tag. Trey Hendrickson has already given the team an extension-or-trade ultimatum, too.

All messaging making its way public, though? The Bengals are all-in on Burrow’s plan. Whether they would be without his public push might be up for debate, but either way, it’s clear what the team wants to do in the coming weeks.
