Bengаlѕ' Trey Hendrіckѕon trаde аѕkіng prіce reveаled

The Cincinnati Bengals aren't going to let Trey Hendrickson go via trade for cheap.

Fans didn't need to be told that much, but it still has to be reassuring to hear it from reports around the whole trade saga involving the NFL's sack leader.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler provided an update on this topic Friday: "People I’ve spoken to believe Cincinnati wants either a first-round pick or a strong Day 2 package to ship Hendrickson, who will command well above $30 million per year on a new deal."

Bengals Grant Trey Hendrickson Permission To Seek Trade

A Hendrickson trade would free up big cap space, but compensation is hard to say. Hendrickson is a unique case of age (30), production and contract status that makes him a tough projection -- for outsiders and even teams.

Right now, the acquiring team would need to offer up that $30ish million annual on an extension, plus a draft asset just for the right to do it.

For the Bengals, a "win" would be a first-round pick, obviously. But even that high-end possible outcome would be a tough pill to swallow while letting an All-Pro and NFL sacks leader get away. Teams near the end of the first round like Washington (29) and Philadelphia (32) might make sense.
