Betһenny Frаnkel’s Best Confessіonаls on Reаl Housewіves of New York

Bethenny Frankel made headlines earlier this month after she made a social media post praising the messiness of the OG Real Housewives of New York cast. The former Bravo star spoke about the controversial new season, which has been criticized by fans for being boring and overproduced.

Bethenny Frankel

“Two different gay men have called me today to say Real Housewives of New York is unwatchable. Take it away at once, they say,” she said in the November 3 TikTok.

The Skinny Girl Founder hasn’t watched the reboot (allegedly), so she couldn’t comment on the new content, but she did take a moment to compliment her former co-stars on their dedication to the show.

“There must be an art to the disaster because we were hot a** messy,” she said. “I mean, I’ve seen Ramona sh*t on the floor, Sonja sh*t the bed…[and] Luann [fell] into the bushes…The powers that be must be writhing in pain that we really were the golden era of the Housewives…You’re welcome.”

Bethenny’s recent TikTok made me think about her time on RHONY and how she shaped the franchise. Whether you love or hate her, it’s hard to deny she helped craft some of the best RHONY seasons. To this day, I don’t think there is a Housewife who has mastered the art of the confessional quite like Bethenny. Her quick wit is unmatched, and I do miss her narration on the show.

Let’s take a look at some of Bethenny’s most iconic confessionals as we mourn the golden age of RHONY.

When Bethenny Frankel made fun of Jill Zarin’s outfit

In Season 2 of RHONY, Bethenny took issue with Jill Zarin’s colorful beach ensemble. The Bravo star shared her thoughts on the fashion faux pas in a confessional, stating, “Jill showed up to look like ‘Maude’ … like, she had a muumuu on in all these colors. She had probably $30,000 worth of jewelry. She looked like a fruit salad.” It wasn’t the nicest thing to say about her friend but it sure was funny.

When Bethenny Frankel insulted Kelly Bensimon’s intelligence

Bethenny was not thrilled when Kelly Bensimon joined the cast of RHONY. She believed her to be a stuck-up insider based on previous interactions and never hesitated to throw a little shade at Kelly in her confessionals.

In one confessional, she insulted Kelly’s intelligence after the newbie failed to pick up on her joke.

“I don’t think Kelly’s a moron,” she began. “I don’t think she’s quick, I don’t think she knows the temperature of the room.”

Ouch. Yeah, I wouldn’t want to be on B’s bad side.

When Bethenny Frankel dissed Dorinda Medley’s boyfriend

Bethenny wasn’t fond of Dorinda Medley’s boyfriend John Mahdessian and she said several shady things about him in her confessionals. My personal favorite was her dig about him coming to the bra party.

B made it known she wasn’t impressed with John’s behavior, telling viewers, “John walked his a** into the door, his face red, his eyes dilated. We’re at a bra party, dude. What are you doing coming to a girls’ bra party? Do you have a vagina?”

Yeah, this is a line that would never come out of Erin Lichy or Jessel Taank’s mouth. Sadly, only B can produce this kind of content.

When Bethenny evaluated the group’s fashion choices

Jill wasn’t the only RHONY cast member who fell victim to Bethenny’s fashion criticism. B had a lot to say about the cast’s outfit choices during a trip to the Hamptons and even admitted her look was a bit over-the-top.

“What happened to us? We all went through the Midtown Tunnel and took acid? Carole, what the f*ck are you wearing? Luann, what the f*ck are you wearing? Ramona, what the f*ck are you wearing? And Bethenny, what the f*ck am I wearing?”

When Bethenny shared her honest opinion on Jill’s decor

Jill could never escape Bethenny’s savage remarks, even when she was in her good graces. In the early days of RHONY, Jill invited Bethenny into her apartment, and let’s just say, she wasn’t impressed with Jill’s design choices.

“Jill’s apartment is Liberace, Versace, la cucarachi,” she said in a confessional. “It’s like Ivana Trump. It’s got dangling things everywhere. If I were alone in Jill’s apartment for a week, I’d think I’d dropped a hit of acid.”

It was brutal, but it was kind of true. Sorry, Jill!

Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
