BGT Fans React Angrily to Golden Buzzer Act Who Has Already Had a Shot on the Show!

The Blackouts wowed the judges on Saturday's episode of Britain's Got Talent - but this isn't the first time the group have appeared on the show.

Fans of Britain's Got Talent have just discovered that the Golden Buzzer act from this weekend has previously reached the final in two other versions of the show.

The popular talent competition, now in its 18th series on ITV, sees thousands of hopefuls take to the audition stage with dreams of performing at the Royal Variety Performance.

On Saturday night (March 8), judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli were left awestruck by Swiss group The Blackouts' mesmerising LED dance routine, prompting them to collectively hit the golden buzzer and send the group straight through to the semi-finals.

However, it has since come to light that this is not The Blackouts' first appearance on the talent show circuit.

Britain's Got Talent

The group had previously auditioned for Switzerland's Got Talent back in 2016, making it all the way to the final.

Despite missing out on the title, The Blackouts returned to the BGT stage last year for Das Supertalent - the German version of the show - where they again reached the final but fell short of winning the top prize.

Since this revelation, BGT viewers have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to express their disappointment, with many arguing that it "isn't fair" to the other acts.

One person wrote: "Just watched the Blackouts on Britain's Got Talent and although they were very good they have been about for years!! They reached the finals of Switzerland's Got Talent in 2016. Performed all over the world ever since."

"The Blackouts obviously invited on to the show by Simon after seeing them on Switzerland's Got Talent 8 years ago," one viewer speculated, while another commented: "The Blackouts didn't even come in the TOP 3 in the final of Switzerland's Got Talent last year," reports Wales Online.

Another viewer shared similar thoughts: "They reached the finals in Switzerland's Got Talent in 2016, they are a foreign active paid professional act and now have been invited over onto BGT and given the golden buzzer?"

In contrast, other viewers have expressed their admiration for the unique act, with many declaring them as one of "the best" to grace the UK series.

"The Blackouts were utterly sensational. Now THAT is proper talent. IMO they should win the entire show, as there has never been an act quite that good in the entire history of Britain's Got Talent," one fan enthused.

Britain's Got Talent airs on ITV1 and ITVX
