What you missed on The Bold and the Beautiful
In Li's office, she continued strangling Poppy using all her strength, nearly crushing her sister's throat. It looked as if Poppy was about to pass out, but Li finally let her go. Struggling for air, Poppy tried to push out the words that there was nothing sordid or dirty about her affair with Finn. Li was utterly horrified and asked how she could say that.
Li then explained that she was disgusted by her. Through raspy gasping, Poppy managed to utter the words, “You could have killed me.” Seething with rage, Li said she still could. She then told Poppy that she had used Finn and now he has a daughter who used to be his cousin.
Thinking about where Luna was located, Poppy speculated that there might be hope for Luna. She was at Bill’s and there she might find some redemption. Li told Poppy that throughout her whole life, she never took responsibility for any of her actions, and raising Luna to grow up and become a horrible person was one of them. She told Poppy to leave and never come back because she's not her sister anymore.
At Bill's, the Forresters and Taylor continued their confrontation with Bill and Luna. Taylor, Ridge, and Steffy were horrified that Lt. Baker let Luna go free. The detective once again explained that Luna was officially pardoned. Ridge asked him if he could do something but Baker said it was out of his hands. “But we all know what you’re capable of,” he said to Luna, adding that if she hurt anyone else, she would go back to prison. Before leaving Baker said to her, “Anybody who’s looking out for you now surely won’t be foolish enough to do it again." He then threw a glance at Bill.
Baker also told Luna he was going to keep a close eye on her. Steffy and Ridge accused Bill of getting Luna the pardon, but he remained silent. Luna promised she wouldn't mess up again and asked Finn to tell her if there was even a small part of him that was happy she was free. Steffy was aghast. She, Ridge, and Taylor swore they would work hard to get Luna back in prison for life. Taylor said no one was buying her traumatic childhood excuse for all of the horrible things she had done. Then Bill finally spoke and ordered everyone to get out of his house. Luna called Finn ‘Dad’ again, prompting a hysterical Steffy to tell her to stop doing that because he would never be her dad and they never wanted to see her again. And then they all left.
At Il Giardino, Deacon reiterated to Sheila that when he thinks of Poppy he can't stop thinking about her daughter. Deacon kept trying to wrap his brain around the fact that his friends and co-workers, Tom and Hollis, were gone. He felt Poppy needed to assume some blame for what happened with Luna. Sheila wondered if DNA could truly dictate how somebody turned out. She also said she never would have wished for Steffy to be locked in a cage. Upon reflection, couldn't believe that those words even came out of her own mouth. “Maybe some people deserve to be locked away in prison for the rest of their lives,” she said, adding, “And if anybody does, it’s Luna.”
At the Forrester mansion, Ridge said it was Bill who unleashed a horrible monster into their lives. Steffy said she hated Bill for what he had done.
Alone, Luna asked Bill if he was the one who got her pardoned because no one else would have. “A million reasons why I shouldn’t have, but yes, it was me,” he said. Bill said he knew the wrath he would be facing but did what he did to give her a second chance. Luna thanked him profusely and he told her that the way to show him her gratitude was to be the best version of herself.
However, he reminded her that he had kicked everyone out. It took her a second, but she soon realized that he meant her also. He told her that she couldn't stay at his house anymore and she needed to go. She told him she was forever indebted to him and was going to pay him back somehow. They hugged and shortly after, he told her that he had to go to a meeting and that she needed to be gone from the premises before he returned.
At Steffy and Finn’s house, they still couldn’t believe Luna was pardoned. Steffy reasoned Bill was definitely behind it. Finn said there was nothing they could do about it, but Steffy swore she was going to find out how to send Luna back to prison. “This time for good,” she said. One way or another, she was going to work hard to ship Luna back up the river. Steffy remarked that between Sheila and Luna, she felt like she was surrounded by psychos. She told Finn not to make the same mistake he made with Sheila. If he embraced Luna this time, like he did with his villainous birth mother, Steffy said she couldn't go through it again.
She also told him that because Luna called him 'Dad' more than once, it obviously meant she wanted a relationship with him. Steffy angrily explained that that was unacceptable and they couldn't have it. Finn just stood there looking dumbfounded and remained silent despite Steffy's ranting. She told him that he needed to take the lead on getting Luna locked up and should do everything in his power to make sure she went back to prison and stayed there for life. He hugged her and said, “I know.”
By herself, Luna was still shocked and in disbelief. But she soon looked happy and said to herself that she was glad that she finally found her real father and swore to herself that she would not lose him this time.
