Bills' Josh Allen Focused On 1 Thing After Monster Contract Signing

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen consolidated his place atop the NFL mountain after a stellar 2024 season that ended with an MVP win. Now, he's agreed to terms on a new contract with the AFC East champs.

Bills' Josh Allen Focused On 1 Thing After Monster Contract Signing

Allen signed a six-year, $350 million contract with $250 million guaranteed, and after a superb 2024 season, he is now paid like a quarterback of his stature. But Allen stated in his Zoom press conference that he didn't want his new deal to "kill" the Bills' salary cap, and it is clear it hasn't.

Due to that, the Bills can still do some free agency business, as they brought in receiver Joshua Palmer and edge rusher Joey Bosa on defense to help both sides of the ball.

For Allen, while signing his new contract is nice, he's still focused on one thing and one thing only -- bringing success to the team that took a chance on him.

"That's really the only thing I'm thinking about, just trying to continue to get better and find a way to bring a Lombardi Trophy to western New York," Allen said, via ESPN. "That's why [general manager Brandon] Beane's kind of doing what he's doing in the free agency period right now, the guys that he's brought in, guys that he thinks can help push us over that hump."

Not only has general manager Brandon Beane brought in two solid pieces in free agency, but he has also re-signed a host of key players.

Greg Rousseau, Khalil Shakir, Terrel Bernard, Reid Ferguson, and Ty Johnson have all agreed to extensions over the last fortnight, so the Bills are doing a good job of not only signing quality pieces from outside the building but also retaining some promising names, too.

Having lost again to the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs, Buffalo needed to make some moves this offseason to help them take down the AFC's foremost dynasty. Adding Bosa and Palmer is a good first step, but more must be done.

Thanks to Allen's contract, they have the wriggle room to make that happen.
