The Buffalo Bills are coming off a 2024 season that saw them get as close as they could to a Super Bowl appearance but ultimately fall short.
The play of the whole roster, but more noticeably, the MVP winner, Josh Allen, was a big reason why.
Playing at perhaps his best-ever level, Allen led the Bills in a way he hasn't done so before in Joe Brady's offense and with the everybody eats mantra, Josh had his way with most defenses.
Reeling in the turnovers and being a dominant dual-threat quarterback, it is easy to see why CBS Sports has Allen as the main reason for 2025 optimism in Buffalo.
"If we're talking about why teams should be optimistic about the 2025 season, a lot of the conversation will center around quarterbacks," CBS Sports writes. "The reason Buffalo should be looking forward to the 2025 campaign is that they have arguably the best quarterback in the league, meaning their floor should be an appearance in the divisional round. Moreover, Allen will be in Buffalo for the foreseeable future after signing a new six-year contract extension with the Bills worth $330 million back in early March."
Like a select few teams, the Bills will always be in Super Bowl contention if their quarterback is healthy.
Allen has been incredibly durable (touch wood), and that means the Bills are winning football games, division titles, and making it deep into the postseason.
Last season, the Bills were close to making their first Super Bowl appearance with Allen. Now, under No. 17's guidance, the Bills feel closer than they ever have.
Because of what he can do on the field, it is easy to suggest that the Bills Mafia will be optimistic about 2025 simply because Allen is on the field.
And they have every right to be.
