Bills Stunning Trade of Matt Milano Urged

Another heartbreaking loss in the playoffs leaves the Buffalo Bills wondering where things went wrong. Buffalo came up one game short of returning to the Super Bowl as the franchise continues its decades long quest for their first Super Bowl victory.

Bills Stunning Trade of Matt Milano Urged

The good thing for the Bills remains in having MVP Josh Allen on their side. Their quarterback showcased his stellar abilities for yet another season though he and Bills Mafia have grown weary of coming up empty in the postseason.

Buffalo has not feared change, making a shocking trade of Stefon Diggs last offseason to shake things up for this season. Overall, they benefitted from that move, but have not yet broken through.

That reality brings them back to a place where almost all options are worthy of consideration. In practice, that may mean another big trade could be in order.

Brandon Ray of BuffaloLowDown believes that could result in a stunning trade of linebacker Matt Milano. Injuries have riddled the former All-Pro over the last two seasons, lessening his impact on the defense and his reliability to be in the lineup.

When Milano is on the field, his presence undeniably changes the complexion of this Bills defense. His versatility adds to what Sean McDermott can put forth as Milano plays sideline to sideline with the ability to hold up in coverage.

But the injuries remain a stinging issue for the beloved linebacker. For different reasons than last year's blockbuster Diggs deal, Brandon Beane may see fit to take a gamble here again and capitalize on his value now.

It would be a difficult parting of ways for Bills fans. Given their current position though, Buffalo is in a place where risk may be necessary.

The Kansas City Chiefs have certainly had the Bills number, but some expected major free agency losses for them put them at a disadvantage heading into next season. Allen is entering his prime years, so the combination of all these factors mean that the time to capitalize is now.

Capitalizing could mean a trade of a different player or a big-time free agency signing that does not involve Milano. However, the point remains that Buffalo cannot be complacent is they try to find the right pieces to conquer their rivals and win the AFC.

In that sense, all options muse be considered.
