Bindi Irwin Shares Her Health Story To Raise Awareness for ‘Undiagnosed Pain’

   

Earlier this month, Bindi Irwin’s brother, Robert Irwin, praised her for being an “incredible advocate for women’s health” in an interview with People on May 10. He is incredibly proud of his sister for using her voice to raise awareness for endometriosis, a disease that has caused her an incredible amount of pain.

Bindi has used her platform to share her struggles with endometriosis and how she was turned away by medical professionals in the past who brushed off her concerns. She chose to go public with her story after keeping it private for years because she wanted to help other women who may find themselves in similar situations.


Bindi Irwin Informs Fans That She’s Healing

In an Instagram post on March 7, 2023, Bindi posted a photo of herself from a hospital bed. In the caption, she wrote a lengthy post, informing fans she had surgery for endometriosis after a decade of pain. “For 10yrs I’ve struggled with insurmountable fatigue, pain & nausea. Trying to remain a positive person & hide the pain has been a very long road. These last 10yrs have included many tests, doctors visits, scans, etc,” she wrote at the time. To conclude, she had an empowering message for women: “Let this be your validation that your pain is real & you deserve help. Keep searching for answers.”

She has continued to update fans on her health, and her most recent post about endometriosis was on May 26, 2025. Bindi posted several photos of herself, some of her looking healthy, and also one of her in a hospital bed. In the caption, she updated fans. “Healing,” she wrote. “Thank you for your incredible words of support and kindness. The reason I share my health journey is because more girls and women desperately need answers to their undiagnosed pain. I’ve battled with endometriosis for more than 12 years. This disease is crippling and can make you feel incredibly isolated.”

She concluded her message by emphasizing the importance of raising awareness for the disease, while also reassuring fans that they are not alone. “I see you, your pain is real, and you deserve answers and genuine health care. For more information visit @endofound,” she wrote.

The comment section of Bindi’s post has been filled with supportive messages, and there have also been some people who have bravely shared their own stories. “Because of you my daughter-in-law got answers,” a fan wrote. “She knew something was wrong, the intolerable pain, vomiting, missing work, and ultimately be fired from her job at 23 yrs old. We found a female physician who listened. She had surgery and her life has changed. Thank you for sharing.”
