Blackhawks Soaring Forward Should Hit New Heights

The Chicago Blackhawks' 2024-25 season was a year to forget. After a big off-season of spending, the Blackhawks did not take the step forward that they hoped to and finished the campaign with a 25-46-11 record. The only team that had fewer points than them was the San Jose Sharks.

While it was a tough year for the Blackhawks, there is no question that forward Frank Nazar was a big bright spot for them. The 2022 first-round pick proved that he is ready for the NHL, as he posted 12 goals, 14 assists, and 26 points in 53 games with Chicago in 2024-25. He also ended the season on a high note, recording five goals and nine points in his final eight games.

With how Nazar finished this past season, it is hard not to feel optimistic about him heading into 2025-26. He is one of the Blackhawks' most promising youngsters, and it would not be surprising in the slightest if he hits a new level, both offensively and defensively, next season.

When looking at the Blackhawks' current roster, Nazar should slot in as their second-line center and be used on their power play. With this, the 21-year-old should have plenty of opportunities to shine, and it will be intriguing to see what kind of year he has because of it.
