Here’s What Happened Previously
Finn (Tanner Novlan) grew to suspect that Grace (Cassandra Creech) was being less than truthful about Liam’s (Scott Clifton) brain tumor. He wasn’t alone in his concerns; several people shared his doubts, questioning whether Grace had been fully honest. Her secretive $1 million treatment supposedly cured Liam, but the unusual circumstances raised more questions than they answered.
As Finn continued to investigate the situation, his suspicions proved correct. His digging prompted Grace to delete Liam’s medical records, an act that made it clear Finn was onto something.
Finn finally got the truth out of Grace. She had to fake Liam’s tumor and the surgery cure because of her ex’s gambling problem. Grace felt she had no choice.

Meanwhile, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) didn’t get the answer she wanted from Li (Naomi Matsuda) when she asked about Luna’s (Lisa Yamada) final resting place. Li remained evasive about what should’ve been a simple answer.
Of course, this piqued Sheila’s curiosity about the situation. She especially wondered what Li was up to, considering her previous experience with Li keeping Finn (Tanner Novlan) under wraps and alive when Sheila thought she’d shot and killed him.
