Poppy may have survived her confrontation with Li, but we’ve got a sinking feeling that she’s not out of danger just yet on The Bold and the Beautiful. And the next attempt on her life could again come from her own family! But whereas Poppy’s sister may not quite have the killer instinct needed to take her out, her daughter definitely does.

But why, you may wonder, would Luna risk her fresh start and her pardon by killing her mom? Because she could kill two birds, so to speak, with one stone.

We know she’s got no problem hurting her mom — she framed her for murder and was content to let her spend the rest of her life in prison. She’s got a lot of anger and resentment towards Poppy that’s already led to some drastic measures. And on top of that, we also know she has no problem with killing.

Taking Poppy out could finally get rid of the mom she never wanted. But perhaps more importantly, it could give her the dad she does want. All she’d have to do is frame Steffy for the murder.

That would get her hated mom out of the way, and remove Steffy as an obstacle to Finn. We all saw his looks as Steffy informed everyone for him that he wanted nothing to do with his daughter. And when Steffy told him to take the lead on locking Luna up forever, he just looked uncomfortable.

Just like Finn struggled to turn his back on Sheila, it’s clear he’s already struggling to do the same with Luna. So all she needs is a little opening — a way to get him away from Steffy.

Would it work? Well, her framing of Poppy didn’t work. Sugar’s framing of Steffy didn’t work. And everyone knows that right now, Luna’s the most likely to kill. So, no, we don’t see Luna getting anywhere but orphaning herself as the whole thing would likely end by blowing up in her face. And with Finn fully determined to lock her up forever.

But Luna’s never been particularly rational before, so we can’t imagine her starting now. And for Poppy, it won’t really matter whether Luna gets away with it or not. She’ll still be dead.
