Bold & Beautiful’s Steffy Just Pushed Hope Out — But Will Carter and Brooke Exit Next?

We may only have gotten three episodes of Bold & Beautiful this week, but they sure packed a lot in! From Sheila and Luna’s weird-as-hell bonding session to Steffy reading her longtime rival for filth, we have a lot to talk about!

Sheila’s Dream, Steffy’s Nightmare

Way back when we first suggested that Luna might be Finn’s daughter, it was because that seemed like the biggest, boldest, most dramatic way the storyline could go. (Y’all, it might be noted, really, really hated the idea!) But one of the things I loved about the idea was the potential of having Sheila and Luna bond. What I definitely couldn’t imagine was that in the course of a single episode, Sheila would go from terrified of the younger woman to… well, um… this.

Sheila Luna kiss B&B

In typical Bold & Beautiful fashion, the sequence of events was beyond ridiculous. At one point, Sheila literally said to Luna, “You were pardoned and you came back to the scene of your crimes? What is wrong with you!”

Um, yeah, Sheila, when you empty Il Giardino’s trash cans at night, are you reminded that it was in that same alley that you shot Steffy and Finn? No? Didn’t think so. I have no clue where this story is going, but I’m kinda intrigued. Is it beyond ridiculous on pretty much every level? Beyond. But I’ll take it over a lot of what we’ve gotten lately. I’d rather be entertained than bored.

Will Carter Walk Out With Hope?

Annika Noelle did a great job in the scenes during which Hope slowly but surely realized what Carter had done. And the week ended — on Wednesday, thanks to March Madness basketball games pre-empting the show the rest of the week — with Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s Steffy being… wow. Brutal.

After (reluctantly) acknowledging that Carter and Brooke have made contributions to Forrester, Steffy dismissed Hope. “You’re like a vacant vessel who likes to hear herself talk,” she snarked. “Blabbing on about sustainable living, changing the world. But you’re not a designer. You’re not a business woman. You’re an empty figurehead.”

Ouch. I mean, it may or may not be true, and how you felt about the accusations depends entirely on whether you’re #TeamHope or #TeamSteffy. But I’m willing to bet even those who think Steffy’s anger was well-founded would admit she was a tad harsh. One thing’s for sure: Both actresses have been bringing their A-game. Talk about must-see TV!

Hope Brooke B&B

While the week’s cliffhanger basically left us wondering if Carter would choose Hope and walk away from Forrester, another question lingers. After all, Brooke, too, is in a rather awkward position. That said, the preview for next week — in which Brooke said she had no sympathy for her daughter — certainly seems to indicate she’s not budging from Ridge, Eric and Steffy’s side!

Random Thoughts

• Did we really need to see repeated flashbacks of Carter ripping up the LLC papers… even as we had two different sets of characters talking about the fact he’d done exactly that? (This is obviously a rhetorical question because no, we really didn’t!)

• I wonder if Bill will ever be held accountable for his Luna-related actions? I suppose when Lunatic targets his son — with an assist from Grammy Sheila — Bill might realize what a huge mistake he made.
