The Boston Bruins have significantly raised ticket prices, and now their CEO has revealed those won't be changing anytime soon despite the immense fan backlash that comes with raised prices.
The Boston Bruins struggled in 2024/25, and after moving franchise cornerstone Brad Marchand and other top names, they'll need to pull off a miracle summer if they are to make a run at the Stanley Cup Playoffs next season.
Despite their bleak outlook, the Boston Bruins have officially raised ticket prices across the board for 2025/26, and unsurprisingly, given the way things have gone in the world as of late, fans are not too happy about the situation, especially with tickets already not being cheap in the first place.
This is a complain that's been raised to the Bruins front office, but while addressing the rising prices, CEO Charlie Jacobs has defended the move, stating that there won't be any changes despite fan backlash.
"It's all going back into the hockey club. We've made our decisions. We will not be rescinding the ticket price increases."
Given the Bruins status as an Original Six franchise, tickets will always be quite expensive in comparison to other teams, but with the way things are going on the ice, there's simply no justification for ticket prices going the way that they have.
Regardless of prices however, Bruins fans are some of the most dedicated in the hockey world, and whether or not they're happy to pay them, it appears they'll continue to pack out the TD Garden in Boston regardless of what is happening around them, and unfortunately that's not always a good thing, as the prices will likely continue to go up and up.
