Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco has revealed why the organization's top player was absent from practice, and it's not looking too good.
The fan-favourite, Elias Lindholm, was seemingly absent from the Boston Bruins practice Tuesday morning.
Following his absence, many fans and reporters began to speculate on an injury, as it is not often a top forward is unexpectedly missing from a morning practice.
Speculation also grew especially after the organization recalled players from the organization's AHL team, Providence Bruins.
Although nothing has been reported regarding an injury suffered by Lindholm, it appeared as though that may have been the case.
Ultimately, Sacco revealed Elias Lindholm's absence was due to a "maintenance day."
This suggests fans can expect the forward's presence at the team's upcoming practice and game. However, there is no confirmation that this is not more severe than the organization is portraying.
Do you think Lindholm will appear in the Boston Bruins lineup on Thursday when they take on the Golden Knights?
Only time will tell.
