The Bruins went into their three-day break on a high note after beating the second-best team in the league in the Washington Capitals. The Bruins held the Capitals to just 11 shots and went on to beat them 4-3.
With it being a holiday, the Boston Bruins issued a statement towards Bruins fans, wishing them a very Merry Christmas.

Heading into the break, the Boston Bruins are currently 12th place in the league and they sit third in the Atlantic Division just four points back of first place.
The Tampa Bay Lightning are just two points back of the Bruins with four games in hand, as they sit in the first wild card spot in the East.
Since Joe Sacco took over, the Boston Bruins are 11-4-1 under him and have shown improvement in many ways. The Bruins have become a much better defensive team, but they still have some areas they need to improve on.
The Bruins offense has been slightly better since Sacco took over, but the Bruins could definitely use a true goal scorer in their lineup.
