Brad Marchand Talks Potential Off-Season Bruins Return

Former Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand participated in his first practice with the Florida Panthers on March 11. Ironically, it was held at TD Garden, as the Panthers are facing off against the Bruins. Marchand won't be making his debut for the Panthers against his former team, however, as he is still recovering from injury.

While speaking to reporters, including the Boston Globe's Conor Ryan, Marchand revealed whether or not the possibility of him returning to the Bruins this off-season could occur. Here is what No. 63 said on the matter:

"I don't know, I guess is how I would respond," Marchand said. "I don't know what the future brings in terms of how it plays out in the summertime. I know it didn't come together now. Can things change down the road? Potentially, but that's to be seen. So, I'm sure we'll have a conversation down the road, but I don't know where that goes. It doesn't change my love for the city, and the will to want to be here has never changed, and I don't think it will ever change."

Marchand returning to the Bruins this off-season would be incredible, but it is obviously far from a guarantee following their unsuccessful extension talks and trade. However, if he hits the free-agent market on July 1, it would be interesting to see if the Bruins and No. 63 could work something out.
