Brandi Glanville Gives Facial ‘Parasite’ Biopsy Update

Brandi Glanville and her fight against facial disfigurement continues. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been very vulnerable about sharing her medical journey. It has caused emotional and physical scars. She suspects a facial “parasite.” Trolls have mocked her for plastic surgery gone wrong. But Brandi is still searching for a diagnosis.

Botched star Dr. Terry Dubrow has taken Brandi as a patient. He changed the course of her medical care, which until that point had cost over $70,000. Terry decided to take multiple biopsies from her face as he suspects a bacterial infection. And it’s just been a waiting game since then.

Brandi Glanville has some news about her facial “parasite” biopsy results

On March 5, Brandi shared an update on Instagram. She was answering fan questions as to whether the results from the biopsy were in.

“So what did your biopsy report say? What is the treatment?” one follower posted in the comments.

The RHOBH alum can breathe a sigh of relief. Cancer has been ruled out. But further cultures will need more time to produce results.

“No cancer but the cultures take six weeks to grow so no news yet but [fingers crossed emoji],” Brandi wrote.

It’s been over a month since Terry got the tissue samples. He suspects a bacterial infection that potentially takes half a year to treat. If that’s the case, it would make sense why Brandi’s previous course of antibiotics didn’t help her.

“Yes guys @DrDubrow took 4 tiny biopsy’s [sic] from my face and neck so we can continue to get better ez pz no pain I was in and out on 30 minutes now we wait,” she shared on January 30.

It’s been an emotional and trying journey for the former Bravolebrity. She’s isolated herself socially due to the unpredictable nature of her illness, which causes facial swelling.

“I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize,” Brandi shared. “I don’t go out and I’m just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what’s wrong with me.”
