Brandon Carlo Reveals Unique Challenge He Has Faced In Early Days with Maple Leafs

The Toronto Maple Leafs made a bold move at the trade deadline, acquiring Brandon Carlo to strengthen their defensive corps as they prepare for Craig Berube's first playoff run with the team.

Carlo has quickly become one of the most responsible and reliable players on the team, consistently being in the right position to break up plays. Which has resulted in some very strong advanced statistics as well.

Despite his strong on-ice performance, Carlo has faced challenges off the ice. He revealed that he and his family are still living in a hotel as they adjust to their new surroundings. However, he remains optimistic about the situation, as per Lance Hornby on X:

'No complaints from them so far. My daughters love the pool and room service so we're okay there.'

Adding to the appeal of this trade, Carlo is signed for the next two seasons at a very affordable cap hit of $3.485 million per year, with the Bruins retaining 15% of his salary.

The Maple Leafs are currently on a roll after a brief slump, riding a three-game win streak with the chance to move to 4-straight wins with a victory over the Nashville Predators on Saturday.
