Young players entering the NFL always have something to prove, but some take that to another level right from the jump.
Atlanta Falcons cornerback Cobee Bryant, an undrafted rookie out of the University of Kansas, in his most recent interview took aim at the very top of the league before ever playing a single snap.
Bryant named Cincinnati Bengals superstar wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, currently the highest-paid non-quarterback in league history, as the player he is most looking forward to taking on at the NFL level.
"TRENDING: #Falcons undrafted free agent CB Cobee Bryant says Ja'Marr Chase is the wide receiver matchup he is looking forward to most in the #NFL 👀," the MLFootball X account reposted on Friday, May 9, via @InBijanWeTrust. "Damn. Cocky."
Bryant took serious umbrage with the fact that all 32 NFL teams passed on him across the 257 total picks they made collectively in the 2025 draft.
He shared his dismay and disappointment via his Instagram account in the aftermath of watching 26 cornerbacks hear their names called over the three-day process.

"Crazy if you think 26 corners better than me 💔💔💔 ," Bryant wrote, per InBijanWeTrust. "Wild bro, [and I know] I worked my ass off 💯💯."
Bryant stands at 6-feet and weighs 175 pounds. He will turn 24 years old in September.
He appeared in 47 games (46 starts) at Kansas over his four-year career there, tallying 128 tackles, including 11 tackles for loss, 22 pass breakups, 13 interceptions, three forced fumbles, three defensive touchdowns and 1.5 sacks.
Bryant earned First-Team All-Big 12 honors in each of the past three seasons at Kansas and was an AFCA Coaches Second-Team All-American in 2024.
Scouts questioned Bryant's top-end speed and ability to change directions as fluidly as will be necessary when defending players like Chase in the NFL. However, before Bryant can concern himself with that, he first must make the Falcons' 53-man roster.
Chase won the wideout triple crown in 2024, logging 127 catches for 1,708 yards and 17 touchdowns -- all of which led the league. He's a four-time Pro Bowler across four years in the league, a two-time All-Pro selection and won Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2021.
Chase will play next season at age 25 and inked a four-year deal worth $161 million total in March that keeps him under contract through the 2029 campaign.
