Paige DeSorbo recently shared some thoughts about her co-stars on her podcast with Summer House alum/co-host Hannah Berner. Though Kyle Cooke has called her show a “silly” podcast in the past, Paige wasn’t too concerned when he brought her up on the Summer House: After Show in May.
While discussing comments about his wife Amanda [Batula]’s role at Loverboy, Kyle threw some shade at Paige’s podcast. “I saw it, thought nothing of it, [and] went about my day,” Paige said. “And then I had so many DMs … I was like, wait, I don’t know if this is really sad or like I just don’t care. Kyle’s never thought anything of my podcast since the day we started it.”
Protective of its content, Bravo was quick to issue an edict: “Don’t talk about Summer House.” To which Paige responded, “We didn’t want to anyway.”
None of the cast is “very supportive”
On Summer House, Paige was sympathetic to Amanda’s need for a project of her own, something other than just supporting her husband’s Loverboy business. Kyle objected to Paige’s interfering in their issues because she didn’t understand the business world.
“I don’t expect someone who does a podcast to understand that,” he said. “This is not a jab at anybody in the creator/influencer economy, but it’s a completely different freaking ballgame.”
On the June 7 episode of the Chicks in the Office podcast, Paige told hosts Ria and Fran, “[Kyle] wasn’t very supportive of it when we first started because no one really on Bravo had podcasts like us.”
“I never bring up Giggly Squad to anyone,” Paige continued. “So hearing him say that was more like … the first time other [women] who have podcasts [and] that is their career were like, ‘Wait, what the heck?’”
Even though other members of the Summer House cast are unsupportive, Paige confirmed that Amanda listens and often texts her about Giggly Squad, saying, “I see it, You’re doing so well.”
“I think she even bought a sweatshirt or something,” Paige added. “She’s a real good friend.”
All episodes of Summer House are now streaming on Peacock.
