“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Frank Catania thinks that his ex-wife and co-star, Dolores Catania, will get engaged to her boyfriend of four years, Paul “Paulie” Connell.
During the March 6 episode of RHONJ star Melissa Gorga‘s podcast, “On Display with Melissa Gorga,” Frank Catania said he believes Connell will propose to his ex-wife, whom he divorced in 1998. He clarified that he does not have insider information about the matter.
“Totally from my gut, from not talking to anybody. Nobody said a word. I do believe it’s coming. I believe it’s coming,” said Catania.
Catania also said he believes his ex-wife could get engaged in 2025.
“I wouldn’t be surprised. Honestly yes. If it’s going to happen, I think it’ll happen within 2025,” said Catania.
Catania also said that he and his wife, Brittany Mattessich get along with his ex-wife and Connell.
“It’s all good. It’s all one big happy family now,” said Catania during Gorga’s podcast.
He also said he wants Dolores Catania “to be happy.”
Frank Catania Spoke About His Son’s Engagement
During the “On Display” podcast episode, Frank Catania spoke about his and his ex-wife’s son, Frankie Catania’s February 2025 engagement to Nicole Perricho.
“I couldn’t ask for a better future daughter-in-law,” said Frank Catania during the interview.
Dolores Catania also shared she was happy for her son in a February 23 Instagram post.
“Can’t find the words to depict how much joy we are all feeling since yesterday. My little Frankie, with a heart full of love and a lifetime of memories ahead of him, proposed to his amazing girlfriend Nicole and we couldn’t be happier!!” read the caption of the post.
During a February 2025 interview on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” Andy Cohen asked if she and Connell would have “a double wedding” with her son and his fiancee.
“We’ll let them have their day,” replied Dolores Catania.
She also said that marriage is “not the goal” for her and her boyfriend. Dolores Catania clarified that she and Connell are not “against it.”
Dolores Catania made similar comments about her relationship in a July 2024 interview with Access Hollywood. She said that “happiness” and “peace” are her goals, as opposed to marriage.
Frank Catania Shared He & Brittany Mattessich Got Married
While recording the “On Display” episode, Frank Catania revealed that he and Mattessich secretly wed in November 2024 after they had to cancel their wedding, which was going to be held in Florida, because of hurricanes.
He also shared that he and his now-wife will have a wedding ceremony in New Jersey so their family and friends can celebrate their marriage.
