BREAKING: Flyers Wіll Not Quаlіfy Cаrter Hаrt

According to Frank Seravalli, the Philadelphia Flyers will not give goalie Carter Hart a qualifying offer.

Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Samuel Ersson (33) and goaltender Carter Hart (79) watch from the bench against the Ottawa Senators during the third period at Wells Fargo Center.

Hart and four other players are under fire for their involvement in the 2018 Hockey Canada Scandal. Yesterday, reports surfaced that the NHL opted not to change contractual procedures for those involved.

By not offering Hart a qualifying offer, he will become an unrestricted free agent. The former 2016 second-round pick's Flyers career has ended. Hart showed significant promise, but his legal issues off the ice have stopped his career in Philadelphia and maybe even the NHL. Hart played 227 games for the Flyers and had 96 wins.

The official news that Hart will not be qualified should be released by 5 p.m. ET.
