Jack bursts into Anna’s office and warns Anna she is in trouble, as ADA Turner asked the WSB for every file on her. He sent her the bare minimum, and Anna thanks him for letting her know. Jack warns her that ADA Turner asking about her is unsettling, and if she wanted to oust her as commissioner, she could. Anna asks why he cares? Jack says he doesn’t want to deal with a new commissioner, noting, “You’re a pain in the ass, but one I’m comfortable with.”
Later, Turner shows up and assumes Anna has called her about Emma. Anna says she called her because she asked the WSB for files on her, so what is her problem? Turner tells Anna she is tired of Anna letting her friends get away with murder, like Jason Morgan. Anna asks what Morgan has to do with this. Turner brings up Cyrus’ murder and the evidence against Morgan, yet he’s free.
Anna says there was no real evidence against Morgan, and they had no body to prove a murder happened. Turner says there is also Sonny, Duke, Valentin. Turner notes she keeps very unusual company. She says with DA Scorpio on leave, she can now investigate her connections to these questionable groups of individuals. She didn’t before as not to step on Robert’s toes knowing their relationship. Anna argues everything she does is by the book. Turner hopes so, as, unlike Anna, she doesn’t look the other way.

Carly Welcomes Joss Home
In Carly’s kitchen, she is thrilled Joss is home and wants to hear all about Easter Island. Joss says first they need to talk about her almost dying. Carly relays the story of the poisoned champagne and insists she’s fine now. Joss asks her mother if she and Brennan are sleeping together. Carly says that is none of her business, but does say they have gotten closer.
Carly changes the topic to Easter Island, and Joss shows them photos on her phone, none of which have her in them. That seems to tip off Jason, who has been to Easter Island. He questions her about what she liked the most, naming certain locations, and she seems to pass his questions.
Brennan shows up, and Joss snaps, “Really, Mom, this guy almost kills you, and you are still seeing him.” Brennan tells Joss he’ll let her berate him later, but first, he needs to speak with Morgan. He takes Jason aside and advises that he contact Anna. Jason leaves, and Jack tells Joss, “Okay, let me have it.”
Joss lashes out at him and makes him promise to take her mother’s safety very seriously. Jack says she has his word. Joss notes she needs to get home to see Trina, and to finally sleep in her own bed. Carly tells her that Donna got her a gift and rushes off to get it for her. Alone, Jack tells Joss that was an impressive performance and he almost believes she doesn’t want him seeing her mom. She says, “Who says it was a performance.” Carly returns and gives Joss Donna’s gift.
Joss leaves, and Jack tells Carly, “It’s official, your entire family hates me.” Carly thinks they’ll come around, and they just need to keep their personal and professional lives separate. She says the less WSB in her life, the better.
Joss returns home, and Trina is delighted to have her roommate back. They embrace.
Jason meets with Anna in the park. She fills him in on ADA Turner coming after her, as well as her fears that she could find something that could end her career. Jason doesn’t want her in trouble for protecting him, so if she has evidence on him, bring him in and build a case. She says it won’t come to that. They can continue to work together, but they can’t meet in public in the future. He suggests they use his place at Bobbie’s. They agree their friendship stays they same, but they must keep it private.

Ava Comes to a Realization
At the hospital, Lucas checks in on Elizabeth. Ava also stops in to check on Liz and asks her questions about the accident. Liz says it’s a bit fuzzy, and all she remembers is the car swerving. She says it was a freak accident. Liz asks why Ava is asking her all these questions. Ava claims she is simply concerned about her and Ric, and if she thinks of anything more about the accident, let her know.
Ava leaves, and Lucas asks what that was about. Liz thinks that was Ava laying claim to Ric. She says Ric does have a good side, and if he embraced it more, she might even say she could like him. However, she also operates in the grey at times and is no better than Ric. She used his feelings for her to get information out of him about Portia.
Lucy then interrupts to talk to Lucas and Liz about the Nurses Ball. Lucas says his last Magic Milo performance was his last, as he has nothing left to give or show. Lucy tells Liz that she must perform as head nurse, but Liz says she’ll be in this cast for weeks. Lucy decides to put Lucas and Liz down for a duet. Liz says even if she’s out of her cast by then, she still needs to take it easy. Lucy gives Liz the night off, so Lucas tells Lucy he’ll appear somehow in Liz’s place as long as he doesn’t have to perform. Lucy swears he doesn’t but has her fingers crossed behind her back.
As Molly sits with her dad, Ric recalls seeing Kristina at the accident scene. Ric reveals he remembered something about the accident. He covers, though, and says he just remembered swerving, and Molly suggests it might have been black ice he hit. Molly gets a call and excuses herself to take it as it’s the office.
Alone, Alexis teases Ric, “So we finally call a truce, and you get in an accident. What, you’d rather die than be nice to me.”
Later, Ava stops in to see Ric when he’s alone and informs him that this was no accident, and someone cut his brakes and tried to kill him. Ava asks who would want him dead, and he says there is a list of people, with Sonny at the top. However, he thinks Sonny’s more likely to go after Ava right now than him. Ava soon realizes he was parked in her spot, and their cars are almost identical. She comes to the conclusion that she was the real target.
Ric can’t believe Sonny would try and kill her. She says Sonny would never be so sloppy and never risk that Donna might be in the car. However, they know someone who is that sloppy. She recalls Kristina’s threats right before the accident, and it was like the fight they in the Metro Court all over again. Ric recalls Kristina vowed to never let her hurt anyone in her family again. Ava says, “That little witch tried to kill me!” Ric adds, “She almost did kill me!”
Ava manages to find the video feed from her garage, including Kristina near Ric’s car. It doesn’t show a clear shot of her cutting the brakes, though. Ric says Sonny and Alexis need to see this and face the truth about their daughter. He asks Ava for a phone to call the cops so they can nail Kristina’s ass to the wall. Ava says, “Now now, let’s not be so hasty Uncle Ric.”

Kristina Begs for Mercy
In the chapel, Kristina tells Lucky that she never meant to hurt Elizabeth and that this is Ava’s fault for pushing her. Lucky tells her to stop blaming Ava, noting she hasn’t even asked how Liz is doing and is only worried about being caught. He tells her she went too far this time and needs to pay for it. Elizabeth and Ric must know what she did. Kristina cries that she tried to stop it when she snapped to her senses, but he says it wasn’t soon enough. He can’t look the other way, so either she turns herself in or he will.
Kristina says she needs to explain why she did what she did and relays that Ava found out information she was going to use to blackmail her dad. She lost it, and she cut her brakes. However, it wasn’t her car that she tampered with, it was Ric’s, which was in Ava’s spot. He points out that it is still attempted murder. She cries she wasn’t in her right mind, and she tried to stop Ava from driving, but she didn’t know it was Ric’s car she tampered with. She wouldn’t wish an accident that could destroy your life on anyone, not even Ava.
Lucky suggests she talk to her mom and get a plea deal cut, but Kristina sobs that her mom or Molly can never know what happened. She says her mom can’t take losing another daughter if she goes to prison. Lucky thanks God that Liz and Ric are okay, and her going to prison isn’t going to help anything. Her family has been through enough tragedy, so she’s going to have to live with the guilt of almost killing two innocent people, which is punishment enough. She thanks him and hugs him.

Kristina says she has been selfish and only thinking about herself, and not that Molly lost a daughter and a sister too. Molly thanks her and says it’s okay. Kristina says it’s not, and she’s sorry for the pain she caused. Alexis is moved to tears that they finally got to this place.
Lucky goes to the garage where Ric’s car was taken and claims that his girlfriend was in the accident and thinks she left her wallet in the car.
