Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta brought several new ladies and launched a soft reboot of the long-running series. Among the new cast members was Brittany “Brit” Eady. Now, she has officially announced that she will not return for season 17 and subtly addressed her absence from the reunion.

As fans know, Andy Cohen and the cast of RHOA filmed the reunion in early June. This brought confirmation that Brit was not in attendance, as she was absent from the pictures released by Bravo.

Following this, she began the process of filing a $20 million lawsuit against Bravo and the production company. However, more recent reports claim that her attorney hasn’t officially served papers to the involved parties.

Brit took to her Instagram account on July 14 and posted what is assumed to be her dress for the RHOA season 16 reunion. Notably, it matches the theme that the other ladies’ dresses embodied.

She said in the lengthy caption for the post, “As I close this chapter, I want to thank everyone who supported me, my friends, my followers, my amazing team, and everyone who defended my name.”

The controversial reality star continued to explain her reasoning for quitting the show. She said, “I decided to walk away from something that no longer serves me because I choose peace over destroying my mental. It’s very easy to say what I should have done, when most have not walked a day in my shoes.”

Brit went on, “I choose ME, and a lot of ppl can’t say they choose themselves. I still have a lot of healing left to do, but you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick.” She then addressed her reunion absence, saying, “I don’t owe anyone closure, I only owe myself to do what’s best for me. My journey here is done. -BRIT.”

Naturally, there were numerous reactions from RHOA fans. Bingeworthy, who is a YouTuber, said, “I respect your decision. Gonna miss seeing you on the show.” Another person came to Brit’s defense, saying, “Won’t address you, I’ll just outdress you.” However, one person seemingly won’t miss her on the show as they said, “Bye Felicia!”

She also posted a video of her would-be reunion look. The caption stated, “NO BRIT. NO REUNION.”It’s unclear what Brit will do next in the world of reality television, but it’s probably safe to say it won’t include Bravo or NBCUniversal.
