Amanda Holden has revealed that Ofcom complaints about her daring BGT outfit choices often get brought up in conversation, before sharing the simple reason why she doesn't stress over it

Amanda Holden has revealed "I'm never worried" when it comes to the possibility of her TV outfits causing complaints.
In a recent interview, which coincides with the new season of Britain's Got Talent, the glamorous judge shared insights into her fashion choices for the latest series of the hugely popular ITV show.Amanda, who's judged the talent show since it started in 2007, has been known to wear some risqué outfits in her role, sparking numerous Ofcom complaints over the years, including 633 in 2017 alone.Yet, the 54-year-old says she doesn't feel concerned when she sets off from her dressing room. However, when asked which outfit was her favourite from this season, she gave a "boring answer".

Amanda told Closer magazine: "I know it's a boring answer, but I love all the outfits from every season of BGT because it's a collaboration with my stylist. Some dresses never make the final cut!
"So, what you see on TV, I really love. I'm always asked about the Ofcom complaints, but every outfit on the show is checked before I leave my dressing room, so I'm never worried. I think people should have fun with fashion!"
The offending outfit in 2017 was a sheer black Julien Macdonald dress. The 633 complaints not only made it Amanda's most controversial look on the show, but it went on to become the TV moment that had sparked the highest amount of complaints that year.
It wouldn't be the only dress that led to Amanda generating hundreds of Ofcom complaints; however, in 2020, she landed 235 for a specific choice. It was for a low-cut navy blue gown that, according to viewers, meant they could "see her nipples".
In the same year, she stirred more controversy with a black and burgundy Suzanne Neville gown, which included a corset and thigh split. It didn't generate as many complaints as her previous dress, but Amanda said it led to 136 (although the episode had 896 overall).

In related news, Amanda recently revealed on Heart Radio that her family "moan" about taking her bikini snaps, which she is known to post on her Instagram page.
She made the revelation while joking about marrying her co-star, The Pussycat Dolls' Ashley Roberts, explaining that she'd be an ideal holiday companion and photographer.
In the segment in question, a conversation about the apparent rise of "friendship marriages" in China led to Ashley suggesting that the pair tie the knot.
Amanda said: "I think let's get married, because we'd holiday all the time, we'd be really good at taking each other's bikini shots and no one would moan, like in my family, everyone just moans when I do that.
