Britain's Got Talent's Stacey Leadbeatter addresses backlash after semi-final victory
Stacey Leadbeatter has hit back at trolls after she was voted through to the Britain's Got Talent final on Saturday night
Stacey Leadbeatter has hit back at trolls following her advancement to the Britain's Got Talent final on Saturday (May 3).
The 29-year-old performer was back on stage for the second live semi-final at the weekend, delivering a rendition of Demi Lovato's Anyone.
The announcement that she had secured a spot in the final came amidst boos from the audience during the reveal by hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly at London's Eventim Apollo.
While Stacey has enjoyed a wave of support, some viewers took to social media to voice their discontent, reports the Mirror.
On Sunday, Stacey took to Instagram to address the negative comments, admitting she woke up to "so many not so kind comments".

She reminded her followers that she is a human with feelings, yet firmly stated that no criticism could dampen her spirits, saying "nothing anyone says" can ruin the joy she's currently experiencing.
Alongside a selfie, her message read: "I have seen so many not so kind comments since waking up this morning! Which I guess is understandable!
"As people get upset, angry and frustrated when they don't get the results that they want. But please remember I am a human being and I have feelings!
"All the other contestants who you all supported are amazing, beyond amazing and all deserved a spot and are now my lifelong friends. But I can assure you that if they read some of the comments you're saying, they would not agree with the hurtful things you're saying."
She concluded: "But I'd like to add. I am strong! I am proud. I am on top of the world and nothing anyone says can bring me down off this little cloud I am on. I am overwhelmed, I am ecstatic, I am excited, I am in awe. Most of all I am thankful and very, very lucky."

The post follows Stacey's previous update where she shared her elation at progressing to the Britain's Got Talent final.
After her semi-final performance, she was ecstatic, telling her fans: "On cloud nine. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me tonight and who believed in me. You're making all my dreams come true. I appreciate each and every single one of you."
In the semi-final, Stacey competed against talents such as magicians Alexandra Burgio and Jannick Holste, singer John Pierce, cheerleading squad Cheer Re Mans, dance ensemble Lil M's, and impressionist Will Burns.
Guitarist Olly Pearson was awarded a golden buzzer from judge Simon Cowell after his performance, securing him a place in the final.
Furthermore, at the conclusion of last night's episode, it was revealed that Stacey had triumphed in the public vote against other acts from this weekend's semi-final, with Will finishing second and Cheer Re Mans coming third.
