Britain's Got Talent's Stacey Leadbeatter 'shines' as emotional final performance is hit with judges

Birstall's Britain's Got Talent golden buzzer act Stacey Leadbeatter has taken to the stage for the final tonight, - leaving viewers and judges in awe of her performance.

The 29-year-old mum took on her own rendition of 'Angels' by Robbie Williams, in a performance that 'shone'. Among the judges 'singing' her praises was Simon Cowell, who told her she 'genuinely deserved' to be at the final.He told her: "Whatever happens, and listen, it’s the most open final we’ve had, you should be unbelievably proud of what you’ve done."

Since her first audition, Stacey has wowed the judges with her sensational vocal performances, and her efforts have been rewarded with a spot in this year’s prestigious final 

"It was really cool the fact you didn’t sing an obvious song, you put your stamp on it. People are going to root for you. You did great.”

Stacey was also praised by Amanda Holden for her rendition of the hit Robbie song. She said: “You look a million dollars. It was really nice to hear a version sung by a woman. I really enjoyed the softer, quieter notes but you’ve got a pair of lungs on you so you showed them off tonight. Well done”

Stacey was brought up in Birstall, West Yorkshire, but did not always have an easy ride reports the Mirror.Stacey remembered the difficulties she endured at school due to bullying over her speech impediement. She said: "In high school I used to stutter a bit and people would mimic me. Children unfortunately sometimes can be a bit harsh and I wasn't the popular girl at school."

Yet, tonight's final performance appeared to be another example of how Stacey is fighting back. Speaking on what the show has meant for her, Stacey said that she had loved 'everything about it'
