Susan Boyle, the singing sensation who soared to stardom following her mesmerising performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Misérables on Britain's Got Talent in 2009, is still capturing hearts years later. Despite finishing as runner-up to dance act Diversity, her debut album shattered sales records worldwide with over 10 million copies sold.
Post-competition, the West Lothian star known affectionately as 'SuBo', has kept her life relatively low-key, cherishing her Scottish heritage. Susan Boyle has sparked excitement amongst her fans after announcing a heartfelt update: "But I've got something exciting to share... I'm back and working on some wonderful new projects that I can't wait for you to hear about!"
The Britain's Got Talent star also added, "More news will be coming very soon, but I just wanted to say how much I've missed you all. Your support means the world to me and I'm more determined and excited than ever. Love, Susan x."
An intriguing aspect of Susan Boyle's life following her rise to fame includes her discreet romance with an American doctor she met during her tour. Keeping his identity private and away from media attention, the two have nurtured their connection without the scrutiny of the public eye.
During an open conversation with The Mirror, Boyle maintained privacy over her partner's details and quipped about the relationship status saying: "I don't want to reveal the doctor's name. It's nothing serious at the moment. I will send him a picture of my weight loss – if he's a good boy! I do enjoy male companionship."
Contemplating the idea of family, Boyle opened up about potential adoption aspirations while considering her pet’s feelings: "I would love to adopt a child too but my cat might get jealous. I don't want to see a cat and a baby fighting. It's something I might do later."

Boyle continues to live in her childhood home in Blackburn, West Lothian. She values her roots and importance of staying true to herself, an ethos she discussed with OK! Magazine. The magazine quoted: "It's to do with the memories of your house and your upbringing, you need to take stock of things and maybe see where you come from and where your roots lie. It's best to be grounded and with your roots. It keeps you grounded and prevents you from saying things maybe you shouldn't say."

Back in 2016, Susan revealed that she had lost two stone after being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes four years prior. She confessed: "I needed to stop eating sweeties and cakes. It's the bane of my life." Emphasising the importance of her health, she added: "I had to lose the weight for my health."
