Britain's Got Talent has been taken off the air on ITV tonight after being moved from its usual Saturday night slot to make way for live coverage of the France vs Scotland rugby final
Britain's Got Talent has been pulled from the schedules on Saturday night to accommodate the live broadcast of the Six Nations rugby match between France and Scotland on ITV1.
Viewers expecting to watch the latest episode of the talent show, hosted by Ant and Dec, will instead get to see the rugby final live from the Stade de France, replacing the talent shows usual spot. Coverage of the game will be starting at 7:15pm and kick off at 8pm.BGT will resume next week, following a controversy surrounding an act in the previous episode where Simon Cowell claimed he was left 'fearing for his life' during a bizarre audition. Producers intervened when contestant Kranthi Drillman, armed with a sledgehammer, disregarded Simon's pleas to stop.Kranthi had instructed Simon to lie on stage amidst watermelons and coconuts, then blindfolded himself and began smashing the fruit, continuing despite the audience's apparent discomfort. Simon later confessed to genuinely worrying about his safety during the act. However, many viewers accused Kranthi of faking his intense performance, claiming to have spotted the secret behind his act - a supposedly see-through blindfold, reports the Mirror.

One user wrote on X: "Obviously see through the blindfold." Another echoed: "He could obviously see through the scarf and he thinks he's won."
A third commented: "You can tell the coconuts and the watermelons have been weakened and you could tell he could clearly see what he was doing when Simon was laid down."
A fourth remarked: "There is no way that hammer swinging idiot could not see." Meanwhile, a fifth exclaimed: "What a load of b******s! If that yoga teacher was totally blindfolded he wouldn't hit a coconut or watermelon every single time with 100% accuracy."
An eagle-eyed viewer suggested Kranthi had visual assistance, writing: "For anybody wondering if he could see through the blindfold or not (fairly obvious though) take a look at the end when the stagehand puts his hand up in front of his face to tell him to stop."
During the perilous performance, Simon, who was supposed to remain motionless, shifted about, adding danger to the stunt. Alesha Dixon, 46, and Amanda Holden, 54, were visibly anxious for the act to cease as the sledgehammer swung dangerously close to Simon's head. "I genuinely thought my days were numbered," Simon confessed.
