Sydnie Christmas won the UK talent search competition last year and has since performed on the Royal Variety Performance in front of King Charles III.

Britain's Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas will star as Cruella De Vil in the transfer of 101 Dalmatians The Musical at the Eventim Apollo. The show plays a limited run from 18 July to 30 August.

The casting marks Christmas's return to the stage following her professional debut in Lazarus – The David Bowie Musical and, most recently, Starlight Express in Germany. She won the UK talent search competition last year and has since performed on the Royal Variety Performance in front of King Charles III.

Christmas said, “I can’t wait to sink my teeth into this iconic character! There’s a bit of me that I see in Cruella, so I’m excited to see her evolve…”

In a spectacular leap from television to theatre, Britain’s Got Talent 2024 champion Sydnie Christmas is officially set to take center stage as the iconic villain Cruella de Vil in the upcoming West End production of '101 Dalmatians The Musical'. This bold casting marks Sydnie’s professional musical debut and cements her transition from rising reality TV star to legitimate leading lady of the stage.

The high-energy musical will run for a limited six-week engagement at London’s Eventim Apollo, from July 18 to August 30, 2025, and promises a dazzling combination of storytelling, puppetry, and original music. Sydnie, whose powerhouse vocals and emotional range captured the nation’s heart, will now channel that same fire into one of Disney’s most stylish and sinister characters.

"I'm beyond excited to take on Cruella," Sydnie shared. "There’s a fierce, misunderstood part of her that I truly connect with—and I’m ready to unleash it on stage in a way that’s bold, fresh, and unforgettable."

This adaptation of Dodie Smith’s beloved tale features music and lyrics by Douglas Hodge, a book by Johnny McKnight, and is based on the stage adaptation by Zinnie Harris. The show is directed by Bill Buckhurst, known for his visionary direction in Sweeney Todd and Standing at the Sky’s Edge, and is expected to mix glamor, grit, and a whole lot of Dalmatian spots.

Sydnie’s casting has sent fans into a frenzy, with many calling this the perfect role to showcase her dramatic flair and stage presence. Her journey from cruise ship singer to BGT winner to West End star has been nothing short of extraordinary—and Cruella just might be the role that turns her into a household name.
