Britain's Got Talent has had a refresh for the 2025 series, with KSI joining the panel as a new guest judge.
The YouTube star, musician and boxer stood in for Bruno Tonioli at some of the auditions while the former Strictly Come Dancing judge was filming Dancing With The Stars in the US. His show debut is just part of a shake-up at the ITV contest which began earlier than usual this year and will run for four months, with live semi-finals spread out across Saturday nights rather than being held in one week.
Other judges on the panel have said they think KSI's popularity will bring a whole new audience to Britain's Got Talent - but do viewers feel he is a good fit for the family show? Yahoo readers have had their say, telling us whether they think ITV got it right by signing up KSI.
Talking up her new colleague before the show aired, Amanda Holden said: "The kids went nuts for him. And I think he's going to bring in a whole generation of people that have perhaps not thought about watching our show before just because they want to see what he brings. And he was also super quick to get on the stage, we couldn’t keep him off it! I just know he’s going to steal the limelight because he's so good!"
KSI himself added of fitting into the long-running show: "Once I figured out what makes sense and my place, I kind of just ran with it and I got more and more comfortable and came into my own."
He seemed popular with the crowd at the auditions and said: "It kind of reminded me when I perform or even when I'm boxing, I'd hear people screaming, shouting my name. It was craziness like that, but it was cool. Even while I'm sitting there to hear people shout my name and have people asking for a photo and just enjoying the whole experience."
Appearing to bid for a return booking, he added: "I really enjoyed the experience, and I don't know if they want me back. I don't know if I made a good impression. But if I did, and they do want me back, you know, I'm fully down!"

KSI is 'not for me'
Yahoo readers have shared that they are not convinced by KSI as a Britain's Got Talent judge — of 242 votes cast in our poll, 129 chose the option "he's not for me". The jury was still out for 17 readers, who were undecided on what they thought of him yet.
A Peace from the Midlands held nothing back as they wrote: "Can't stand him."
Rick Y from Preston commented: "Thought he was dreadful. How such an untalented individual can get so much air time is a reflection on society."
Others felt that KSI was no match for Tonioli, who has proved a hit with BGT viewers since he replaced David Walliams in 2023.
Trevor M, a Brit living in Texas, wrote: "Sorry, but nowhere near the charisma or anything else of substance compared to Bruno. You'd have thought that with his contacts in the entertainment industry Cowell could have found someone more appropriate."
Opinion was split with some other readers, who were much more impressed by KSI on the show. Choosing the "I loved him" option in the poll were 96 people who liked the fresh energy that the influencer brought to the panel.
Stuart MS from Stroud wrote that he would like to see KSI as a permanent replacement: "Can he not replace the annoying Italian, PLEASE! A much better judge that's for sure."
