Obrecht runs into Anna down on the docks and says, “We meet again, Scarecrow.” Obrecht came there to retrace Britt’s last steps and reflect on her final act of heroism.
Why So Much Talk About Faison?
Obrecht laments that she wishes she had been a better mutter to Britta. She wasted so much time obsessing over Cesar when she should have given that attention to her daughter. She notes she and her former nemesis have a lot in common. She neglected Britta due to her devotion to Faison, and Anna neglected Robin for the WSB.
Anna regrets her actions, and the older she gets, she finds she can’t justify what she did as an agent. Obrecht inquires as to what she’d say to her younger self if she could. Anna admits she’d warn herself to choose another job, as this one will cost her more than she could imagine.
Anna asks Obrecht what she’d tell her younger self. Obrecht jokes, “Not to fall in love with megalomaniacal Danish terrorist.” Obrecht walks off, leaving Anna in tears, thinking about her life choices.
Who Is The Big Boss?
At The Five Poppies, Pascal follows Britt back to her room and berates her for interrupting a business call. The doctor throws a Britch-fit and says “he” wants Pascal to keep her happy, and she’s not. Plus, the resort’s cocktails suck! Britt demands to speak to their friend as soon as possible. Pascal says he’ll pass the message along and departs.
Britt goes online and finds a photo of her mom and Rocco at the pool. She becomes emotional as she thinks about how big Rocco’s gotten.
Britt then receives a call from the big boss and informs them that they have a huge problem.
Kristina Ups the Ante With Cody
At the hospital, Kristina walks in on a shirtless Cody in an exam room. He explains he has to get this mole checked out, which indeed turns out to be just a freckle.
Later, in the hall, Cody rants that this cancerous mole thing was all Molly’s doing, and he wonders if Kristina’s scheme is worth it. She offers him an additional ten grand, which prompts Cody to be all in.
Kristina tells Cody that Ava is at her mom’s office, per Suzanne’s intel, and directs him to find an excuse to drop by and then invite Ava out for a martini. She can’t pass up guzzling a free drink. Before leaving, Cody inquires why Molly is mad at him, and Kristina lies and says her sister has been moody since her break-up with TJ.
Joss Gets a New Identity
In Brennan’s office, he gives Joss her new identity. She’s Kelsey McDonald, and Kris Nash is Vaughn’s identity. Suddenly, Carly calls Brennan with an invite, and he tells Joss that her mom is at work, so she should give her a story as to why she has to leave town.
Chase Is Frustrated With Brook Lynn
At the Metro Court, Chase tells his wife that he wants to get the ball rolling again on their stalled adoption process, but Brook Lynn feels she needs to focus on mending her relationship with Gio first.
Frustrated, Chase wonders if she’s rethinking their plans to have their own family.
Brook Lynn swears she isn’t, and she simply wants their child to have two loving parents and hopefully a caring big brother. Chase gets a call, claims it’s the station, and walks off after agreeing he can wait.
Molly Makes Her Opinion of Ava Known
Ric meets with Molly for dinner, and his daughter is surprised he’s not with Ava. Ric admits he has no idea what Ava does with her time lately. Molly confides in her dad that she’s taken up writing again, which was inspired in part by a recent horseback ride.
Molly explains that her novel started as a romance, but she’s changed her mind, and now it’s about a woman who doesn’t need a man to make her happy. She asks him to keep this between them and not tell Ava. Ric doesn’t think he’ll be confiding in Ava any time soon. Molly wastes no time telling her dad that he can do so much better than Ava.
Liz appears, explaining she was supposed to meet a friend from work, but she bailed. She has a question for Ric, so Molly gives them space. They sit down, and she thanks him for taking Willow’s case. However, she ignored his advice and went to see Michael. Ric doesn’t think it will do any more damage to her case, but she needs to convince her not to do that again. He then shamelessly says Willow needs to learn to be a lot more like Liz, who is kind, warm, and loving.
Where Is Joss Supposedly Headed?
Joss meets with her mom at the bar and explains she’s taking a few weeks to go to Australia, as Lady Jane’s good friend, Mrs. Walker, broke her hip. She has nobody to help her around the ranch. Joss reveals she flies out tomorrow.
Carly feels this is very sudden and asks what is really going on. Joss admits her mom was right to be concerned about Vaughn, so this trip is also to put space between them so she can figure out if he’s right for her, and what she wants. Carly feels she’s making a very grown-up and mature decision.
As Joss says she has to go start packing, Brennan appears and asks where she is going.
Joss departs, and Brennan says Carly seems very OK with Joss leaving. Carly admits Joss is rethinking things with Vaughn, after she told her about Anna’s concerns about the man, and needs space to figure things out. That’s when Anna calls Carly, asking to talk about Joss again. Carly tells her that she’s at work, and then blabs to Brennan that Anna is on her way to tell her something about Joss.
Is Gio Starting to Come Around?
At the pool, Emma refuses to let Gio break into Dalton’s lab. They bicker, and Gio points out that if she gets caught, Anna will be furious as she already has priors, and could cut her off or send her back to California.
Emma snarks that she is 21, and if her family doesn’t like her actions, she’ll get a job and pay her way. Gio advises her not to turn her back on her family.
Gio swears her to secrecy, and admits he misses his family, even Lois and Brook Lynn. However, he’s not ready to reach out and isn’t sure he ever will be. His point is that being apart from your family hurts like hell.
Emma hears him and concedes he should be the one to break into Dalton’s lab. That’s when Joss appears to speak to Emma, so Gio gives them privacy. Joss explains that something came up and she has to head to Australia. She’s already told Dalton, who will likely offer Emma the assistant position, but she advises Emma to turn him down.
Ava and Alexis Make a Deal
In Alexis’ office, Ava tells Alexis their arrangement has become too complicated, and Ric could get them all thrown in jail. Ava asks Alexis for one final payment of 1.5 million to her alone, and then this arrangement is over.
Alexis isn’t sure they can cut out Ric, and rightly notes she has no guarantee Ava won’t get greedy for more cash. Ava produces a key to the storage unit where Ric’s car is, which will prevent any future blackmail by her or Ric.
Alexis says they have a deal, and the women shake on it.
In the Show’s Final Moments
At the Metro Court, Molly returns to her dad and Liz and insists that the nurse join them. She agrees, and Molly can barely hide her glee while watching her dad and Liz interact.
In Alexis’ office, as she and Ava are finalizing their plans, Cody arrives and tells Ava, “Fancy seeing you here.”
At The Five Poppies, Britt informs the boss that she cannot proceed without more data and that she needs her freedom. Her tone changes as she tells him she’s feeling fine, and it would help if he’d return her calls more often. Uh, [Spoiler], is that you? It appears the boss cares about Britt. After telling him goodnight, Britt pulls out a syringe and vial from her nightstand.
At the Metro Court pool, Chase talks to the station, who didn’t call him, and claims he’s coming to work even though he’s not on duty tonight. Gio walks by, and Chase asks how it’s going. Gio answers, “Good,” and walks off.
Joss insists to Emma that she hasn’t found any evidence that Dalton is testing on animals, but she has learned the man is a sleaze and has made moves on her. She knows Emma doesn’t like her, but she’s trying to do her a favor and tells her to stay clear of Dalton.
Down in the restaurant, Brennan returns to Carly after having to make a work call.
On the pier, someone dressed in black puts a black hood over Anna’s head and grabs her.
On the next General Hospital, Lucas snarks at Carly that it’s easier for her to lash out at him than admit she was wrong. Michael admits to Dante that he thinks he knows why Daisy was targeted. Willow confides in Chase that she has to figure out how to undo all the damage. Sidwell warns Tracy that she won’t have a company left to protect. Turner warns Sonny that she’ll be ready for every trick he’s got.
