They tied the knot in 2019.
“It’s been a lot to process and an emotional time for me, however I’ve come home to my son with a new found sense of peace,” Taylor wrote on Instagram when he exited the treatment center.
“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared for the future but my focus is just trying to be a better version of myself than I was yesterday.”
He later admitted he did not want to leave rehab because he knew the world was not going to be easy on him.

Once back from rehab, Taylor spoke out on his divorce from Cartwright and said he knew it was the best decision for their family.
He even said he hopes he and Cartwright can one day be “really, really good friends.”
Meanwhile, Cartwright has been adamant that she needed to split from Taylor for her and Cruz’s best interest.
While in rehab, Taylor was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

In March, days after Cartwright announced she and Taylor would be separating to work on themselves, she told TMZ, “Whenever you fight with somebody for so long, there’s only so much you can take, and you know, I deserve better, Cruz deserves better.”
Plus, in April, she detailed the “breaking point” of their relationship and noted, “[Cruz] is our main priority no matter what.”
The pair welcomed Cruz in 2021, about two years after they tied the knot in Cartwright’s home state of Kentucky.
