Bronwyn Newport loves having a full house. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member shares her home with her husband, Todd Bradley; her daughter, Gwen; and their many boxer dogs. And now, they've made room in their "rainbow" inspired Utah house for a newcomer: a brand-new reptile.

The mom of one took to her Instagram Story over the weekend, where she admitted she was taken by surprise when Gwen and her boyfriend showed up at the house with a new pet chameleon. Bronwyn was a little apprehensive to welcome the reptile into the family, especially after she had a panic attack earlier that day.

"My fear of reptiles is really being challenged," she wrote over a photo of the new pet. However, she was able to come around to the idea of having the chameleon in the house, especially since he bears a striking resemblance to Todd and fits in perfectly with their colorful house.

"But, in fairness, he's rainbow and makes the same smirk as Todd aaaaaaand G said I could *maybe* name him (if I come up with a good name) so maybe I'll learn to love him," she added.

Once the chameleon got settled in their cage, Bronwyn was able to get a little more adjusted to the idea of keeping the pet for good. "I am loving him changing colors," she wrote over a photo of the unnamed reptile, hanging out on a branch in their cage.

It definitely helps that the pet perfectly blends in with her super fun house, which can be seen in the video above. "As far as reptiles go, this one at least gets my aesthetic...also, his little two-finger salute kills me," she concluded.

Bronwyn Newport opens up about her love of animals

During an April 2021 Instagram Q&A, Bronwyn, who at the time only had three dogs, revealed that she would love to have more pets. "I would have llamas (but apparently they are best in threes), a pig, and puppies...always more puppies," she noted. "BUT, I don't know how we'd love any more animals right this second the way we want to!"

In a July 2021 Instagram Q&A, Bronwyn admitted that she did not get a dog until she lived with Todd. "I didn't grow up with dogs!" she noted. "I have always wanted a pet llama though, and got close to convincing Todd to get me one for Christmas a few years ago until he and I learned they do best in groups of three."

Although she never got around to adopting a llama, Bronwyn celebrated the ninth anniversary of adopting their dog, Claire, in January, before she passed away in February. Read Bronwyn's touching tribute to her oldest dog.
