Bronwyn Newport Shares an “Emotional” Update on Her Family & Living Situation

Bronwyn took to her Instagram Story on Sunday, April 20, where she revealed that it had been a very "emotional day" for her, which she spent at her parents' house amid their health issues. In December, Bronwyn revealed that her dad has Alzheimer's, and her mom was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor, according to People.

"My dad has been doing so great in memory care, but this week he hasn't been himself," she admitted on her recent story. "We went for a big Easter family visit and it just didn't go well."

Because of this, Bronwyn decided to fly to her childhood home in California, which led her to show off Gwen's childhood room in the home. Bronwyn snapped a photo of the very girly room, filled with the color pink, stuffed animals (including a bright red Hello Kitty and a giant stuffed whale), and dozens of children's books. "We've been slowly transitioning [them] to be living with me (and maybe one day out on her own, but close to me) after health challenges, and we needed to come out again, probably for the last time, and clean out the last few rooms," she explained.

She continued in the caption of the post, noting how Gwen's room at her parents' house has meant so much to her. "My parents were always so good to Gwen growing up," Bronwyn added. "My parents have had this house my whole life, even when we lived in Europe, just renting it out, and then my daughter spent so much of her childhood there too."

This will mark a new chapter for Bronwyn, especially since Gwen is almost an adult with big dreams. "Donating her old toys and books will make me so happy, but I'm also in a real nostalgic spiral," she concluded. "How do I leave my childhood and my daughters behind at the same time?"
