Browns’ toughest stretch of the season comes at a key point in the year where teams have figured it out

The 2024 schedule is here for the Cleveland Browns and we now know how Sundays in the fall will be planned with game times being announced.

After making the playoffs last year, the Browns hope to take another step forward and make a deeper run into the postseason.

Cleveland’s schedule is by no means friendly and you can look here to see so for yourself. But when it comes to the toughest three-game stretch for them, look no further than the month of October.

Week 6 @ Philadelphia Eagles

Hot off the bye week, the Eagles are going to be a tough task for the Browns. Philadelphia and Cleveland spent the last couple of preseasons doing joint practices and won’t this season with a matchup taking place in Week 6.

I believe these are two similar built rosters at spots and that is no surprise as Browns GM Andrew Berry worked with Howie Roseman in Philly for a bit. Philadelphia improved their offense by adding Saquon Barkley and that was their big offseason move.

Playing at the Eagles always makes it tougher and the offense with Jalen Hurts at the helm has given teams issues over the last couple of seasons.

Week 7 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

After what will be a physical game against the Eagles, the Browns have to come back home and okay an AFC North game against a team that always gives them a battle.

Cincinnati has lost to Cleveland more often than not recently but that means nothing in the present time. You hope that Nick Chubb is back for this game because it would certainly help keep the Bengals offense off of the field.

By this point, teams know who they are and good teams find ways to win. The Browns need to grab this one at home to start out their divisional games.

Week 8 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Back-to-back AFC North games is a tall task in the first half of the season but Cleveland has to at least be glad they’re at home. The Browns split with the Ravens last season and need to do at least that again in 2024 if they want to win the division.

Winning the one at home in the first of two matchups would be the ideal way to accomplish that. At this point in the season, you hope to have all of your stars healthy and ready to make an impact.

John Harbaugh has had Cleveland’s number since he has been the head coach in Baltimore and beating him has never been easy for Cleveland. If the new regimen wants to get to where they want to be, they have to win these games to get over the hump.
