Bruce Cassidy sends a strong message to NHL teams about what to expect from the Golden Knights

Following their latest win, head coach Bruce Cassidy sent a strong message, making it clear to everyone what kind of team the Golden Knights are—and what’s coming next.

Bruce Cassidy is guiding the Vegas Golden Knights in the right direction for a deep playoff run this season. While a postseason berth seems likely, that’s a discussion for later. For now, the head coach wants NHL teams to be ready for a battle, as his squad won’t be easy to beat.

Cassidy emphasized his vision for the Golden Knights to keep growing into a tougher opponent. “I think that’s going to be our goal for the next six weeks, to keep building it so that we’re a really tough team to play against,” he said after a dominant 4-0 victory over the Penguins.

That home win marked their third straight victory in March. Before this game, the Golden Knights had already defeated New Jersey 2-0 and Toronto 5-2, making for a strong start to the month—especially after opening February with two losses, a rare trend for a team used to starting months with multiple wins.

One key factor in their success, according to Cassidy, has been their rush game. “Our rush game has been good during the year, so teams are aware of that,” he noted. The coach believes improvements made during training camp are paying off, with the team’s execution reflecting the hard work put in by the entire staff.
