Bruins Fans Blast Don Sweeney During Brutal Oilers Loss

Bruins fans let their thoughts be known during the club's latest bad game.

The Boston Bruins had another bad night on Tuesday, losing to the Edmonton Oilers by a 4-0 final score. The Original Six club was outplayed in every area of the game and notably had just 12 shots after two periods. Due to this, they have now lost five straight games.

After another poor performance, Bruins fans let their frustrations known and directed them at general manager Don Sweeney.

During the third period of the contest, Bruins fans started a "Fire Sweeney" chant from the balcony that was loud enough to be picked up on the NESN broadcast.

The Bruins already made a massive change earlier this season when they fired former head coach Jim Montgomery and replaced him with Joe Sacco. The move got the club back on track on first, but the immense issues of the roster Sweeney built are presenting themselves yet again during this latest poor stretch.

If the Bruins don't turn their season around and miss the playoffs, it is fair to wonder if Boston fans could get their wish regarding Sweeney.
