The Bruins gave Jake DeBrusk and Danton Heinen a tribute video for their return to TD Garden.
Former Boston Bruins forwards Jake DeBrusk and Danton Heinen returned to TD Garden on Tuesday night for the first time since signing with the Vancouver Canucks last off-season.
During the first period of the matchup, the Bruins showed respect to DeBrusk and Heinen by giving the pair of forwards a nice tribute video. The video showed some great highlights of the two players during their time with the Bruins.
Both DeBrusk and Heinen made sure to salute the crowd while they cheered for them. Clearly, the pair appreciated the gesture, and it was well-deserved for their contributions to the Bruins.
DeBrusk, 28, spent the first seven seasons of his NHL career with the Bruins. In 465 games with the Original Six club, he had 138 goals and 266 points.
Heinen returned for his second stint as a Bruin last season. In 74 games with the Bruins in 2023-24, he had 17 goals and 36 points. Overall, the 29-year-old winger proved to be a nice surprise for the Bruins, and it helped him land his nice payday from Vancouver this past summer.
