The Bruins need this forward to heat back up.
The Boston Bruins have performed below expectations this season. At this point, they have a 10-9-3 record and are currently fifth in the Atlantic Division. Their slow start also led to the firing of former head coach Jim Montgomery.
A major reason for their shaky start has been the underwhelming play of several of their top players. Bruins forward Pavel Zacha is among them, as he has just three goals and four assists in 22 games this season. He has also not recorded a point in each of his last five games, so he has yet to show signs of bouncing back.
However, Zacha's play during the previous two seasons demonstrates that he has the potential to be a difference-maker. In the 2022-23 season, he had 21 goals and 57 points in 82 games. He then had 21 goals and a career-high 59 points in 78 games in 2023-24. Thus, there is no question that he is capable of doing more than he has so far this campaign.
If the Bruins hope to turn their season around successfully, they will need important players like Zacha to heat up. It will be interesting to see if the 2015 first-round pick can do just that from here.
