Bruins' Odds of Landing Patrick Kane Revealed

The Bruins are being viewed as one of the frontrunners for Patrick Kane.

After a tremendous bounce-back season with the Detroit Red Wings in 2023-24, Patrick Kane is one of the top free agents heading into the summer. In 50 games, the 35-year-old posted 20 goals and 47 points.

The Boston Bruins should be watched when it comes to Kane, as they were one of the clubs that expressed interest in him this past season. In addition, they have plenty of cap space to work with this time, and GM Don Sweeney has clarified that he wants to add more scoring this summer.

Because of this, the Bruins are being viewed as a potential frontrunner to land Kane this summer. According to BetMichigan, the Bruins have the best odds (+800) of signing Kane if he does not re-sign with the Red Wings (+115).

There is no question that the Bruins could use a proper star like Kane in their top six. The future Hall of Famer would provide them with an immediate upgrade and would work wonderfully on a line with captain Brad Marchand. In addition, he would give their power play more life because of his playmaking ability.

The Red Wings are expected to speak with Kane to try to get a deal done by July 1. However, if a new contract between them does not occur, it will be intriguing to see if the Bruins once again explore the prospect of bringing the 2007 first-overall to Boston.
