Bruins Reveal Interesting Lineup for Capitals Matchup

   

The Boston Bruins will be sporting an intriguing lineup for their pre-season matchup against the Washington Capitals.

The Boston Bruins return to the ice tomorrow night (Sept. 24) to play the Washington Capitals in their second pre-season game of the year. The Bruins will be hoping for a better result than their pre-season opener against the New York Rangers, as they lost by a 3-2 final score.

The Bruins announced their lineup for their game against the Capitals, and there are certainly some players to watch during it. 

Newcomer Joonas Korpisalo will make his pre-season debut with the Bruins, and all eyes will be on the 30-year-old. He will look to make a good first impression, especially with Jeremy Swayman still being a restricted free agent.

Matthew Poitras will be getting into his first game action of the pre-season. This is notable, as it will be the 2022 second-round pick's first game with Boston since his season-ending shoulder surgery in February.

Bruins professional tryout (PTO) addition Tyler Johnson will also be in the lineup for the Original Six club. This is a big opportunity for the veteran to try to show the Bruins that he deserves a contract. 

Bruins top prospects Fabian Lysell and Georgii Merkulov will look to bounce back from their quiet performances against the Rangers. With both youngsters aiming to earn spots on the Bruins' opening-night roster, they need to be more noticeable.
