This Bruins superstar got honest when talking about his early-season struggles.
On Tuesday (Dec. 3), Boston Bruins superstar David Pastrnak spoke with reporters about his breaking his cold streak. While doing so, he was quite honest about being unhappy with his play during it.
Here is exactly what No. 88 said on the matter:
"Honestly, I know I haven't been scoring that much, but at the same time, there's a lot of parts of my game I wasn't happy with. Honestly, I didn't even think about scoring."
Before scoring in the Bruins' last game against the Montreal Canadiens, Pastrnak did not have a goal in seven straight games. With Pastrnak being an elite sniper, it is certainly rare for him to have goalless streaks like that.
When asked about what parts of his game he was not happy about, Pastrnak specifically mentioned he felt he was "not on the puck enough."
However, after getting on the board, Pastrnak made it clear that he is starting to feel better about his play:
"I feel good now. (My) confidence is coming back, so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be only better."
Pastrnak will now look to build on his momentum in the Bruins' upcoming matchup against the Detroit Red Wings.
