Poitras certainly earned this honor, as he was simply fantastic for the Providence Bruins during this past week. On April 11 against the Hartford Wolf Pack, he had two goals and four points. He then followed that up with a three-assist performance against the Belleville Senators on April 12. Thus, Poitras recorded an impressive seven points in just two contests for Providence during the week.
With this offensive explosion, Poitras now has 16 goals, 24 assists, and 40 points in 38 games with Providence this season. With Poitras being viewed as a big part of the Bruins' future, it is certainly encouraging to see him thriving down in Providence. It will now be interesting to see how he builds off it from here.
Poitras was selected by the Bruins with the 54th overall pick of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. In 33 games this campaign with Boston, he has one goal, 11 points, and a minus-5 rating.
